In Mountainbuilding, the movements of the mountain and the body meet, along with the processes of human perception that operate beyond our understanding of consciousness, time, and existence. Over the course of three hours, Anna Pehrsson together with a group of dancers from Seoul shapes a landscape of movement and stillness, where the present interacts with the primordial, and the ephemeral is enveloped by the geologically slow. Mountainbuilding is a tender contemplation on the horizons of the human, the erosion of time, and the being of the mountain in the world.

After successful presentations during Ob/scene Festival 2024 Anna Pehrsson is for this year’s festival working with a group of local dancers creating a new durational work with live music.
