After successfully presenting her voice work, at this year’s Ob/scene Festival, Alejandra Pombo Su now presents her recently completed trilogy of films.
Here, the artist functions as a collector of images, encounters, resolutions, spaces, and time zones—like someone gathering seemingly insignificant material on a beach after a storm, uncovering connections that for others remain hidden or forgotten.
These films, marked by a particular intimacy with nature, unfold like landscapes in which viewers are invited to explore their own fantasies. Instead of telling a single story, the films offer an invitation to each person to discover and narrate their own endless stories—perhaps without a clear beginning or end, perhaps without resolution—stories that our hectic lives often leave us no time to uncover or engage with.
Alejandra Pombo Su is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Her practice is essentially performative, resulting in unconventional approaches to stable media and investigating material and medium in terms of how rather than what. This often produces works that are paradoxical, full of contradictions that appear simultaneously deliberate and accidental, expressive and formal, hasty and repetitive.
Alejandra Pombo Su’s highly distinctive practice has been presented at institutions such as Museo Reina Sofía, La Casa Encendida, CA2M, and Museo de Pontevedra. In 2025–26, she is a DAAD Fellow in Berlin.
